As 2015 winds to a close, I thought I’d take a look back at some of the We Hunted the Mammoth posts that got the most attention over the past 12 months. Ten of them, to be precise. As these posts remind us, it’s been a weird and often sad year, one punctuated all too regularly with outbursts of misogynistic violence.
As you may have heard, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has taken in more than a billion dollars worldwide, so far. $1.09 billion, to be exact.
But the folks over on Return of Kings still think that their “boycott” of the film was a HUGE SUCCESS. How’s that, you ask?

The women of the world, you see, are using both high- and low-tech trickery in an attempt to convince dudes that they are prettier than they actually are.Â
It’s fair to say that Roosh Valizadeh, the odious “pickup” artist perhaps best known for his call to end rape by legalizing it, is not really a big fan of Muslims.
In the past several months, his Return of Kings site has posted an assortment of alarmist, Jingoistic attacks on Muslims with titles such as
Sometimes cis men who hate women get so fed up with all the unfair advantages women allegedly have in the contemporary world — the bon bons, the free dinners, the wide assortment of penis pics sent to them by their many suitors — that they threaten to become women themselves.
