The Incels Without Hate subreddit is supposed to be the good one, free of festering resentment and calls for (or threats of) mass murder. The subreddit’s rules specifically ban expressions of hatred, as well as “blanket statements assigning blame to a particular group of people for your problems.”
So why are the denizens of the sub openly cheering on hatred?

So over in the Men’s Rights subreddit, they’re discussing whether or not “LGBT men” have it better than straight men, because of course they are. (I can only wonder what they think the “L” in LGBT stands for.) And naturally, some think that straight men are the ones getting the short end of the stick, at least in the so-called sexual marketplace.

As something of a connoisseur of misogyny, I’m drawn to the Semen Retention subreddit by its unique mixture of woman-hating and penis-centric woo. While the woo is blatant and ridiculous — the men there think that retaining their sacred seed will give them magical powers and make them irresistible to women and other living things — the misogyny is generally a little subtler.
