Last night, Elon Musk, the new Chief Twit, tweeted that under his reign, “comedy is now legal on Twitter.” He did this after reports that his Twitter takeover had encouraged a nearly 500% increase in the use of the n-word on Twitter, as fans expecting looser rules tried out the limits of Musk’s “free speech absolutism” to see how many times they could use the word “n*gger” in a tweet.
Elon Musk now owns Twitter. He promises he won’t make the place a “free-for-all hellscape.” I’m not so sure.
So Graham Norton’s Twitter account has disappeared. Norton, the popular UK talk show host was last seen offering some seemingly uncontroversial opinions on trans issues that somehow did not meet the approval of Harry Potter mega-author and trans antagonist J.K. Rowling.
So British anti-trans attention seeker (and friend of Joanne) Maya Forstater has been engaged in a very strange Twitter meltdown over a cartoon alien for the past four days. And when I say “weird” I mean really, really, really weird. So I’ve taken the liberty of assembling all of Forstater’s best tweets — by which I mean worst tweets — in one place. With commentary.

So fusspot Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson got himself suspended from Twitter for a tweet about actor Elliot Page that pretty clearly broke the site’s rules on hate speech.

And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that.”
You may be familiar with the “How Do You Open” meme on Twitter. A “dating coach” will post a picture of a young, conventionally attractive woman and ask their male followers how they would “open” her in real life — that is, what would be their opening gambit if they wanted to seduce her with maximum efficiency.
Whenever news breaks about a new school shooter, an unhealthy alliance of trolls and true believers takes to social media to flood the zone with bullshit.
