Roosh V: Governments pushing education for women are depriving me of a good wife

Russian girls, being raised right, 1909
Russian girls, being raised right, 1909

Pity poor Roosh! The widely despised pickup artist and wannabe philosopher spent the last decade and a half as a man-slut, riding the vagina tilt-a-whirl around the world, having what he insists was consensual sex with women in an assortment of sometimes colorful, sometimes colorless places from Paraguay to Siberia.

Now, the not-so-benevolent dictator of a miniature internet empire based on ebooks, clickbait and misogyny, Roosh has decided he wants to settle down and become an old-school patriarch, with an adoring or at least subservient wife and a brood of mini-Rooshes.

There’s just one problem: An evil conspiracy of Western governments and central bankers, hellbent on depopulating the world, is making it darn near impossible for poor Roosh to find himself a good wife, in the form of a young hottie, preferably more than a decade his junior, with such limited options that she won’t be able to leave him once she realizes the terrible mistake she’s made.

Alas, Roosh reports, even in Eastern Europe, the young women he meets have pretty much all been totally ruined by something called “a college education.”

In a post titled How The Government Is Robbing Men Of Good Wives, a sad and angry Roosh laments that even in those

countries in Eastern Europe that have superior women than in America … you encounter a big problem: they value their education and careers above that of family.

And it’s all the fault of Big Government:

Education is offered for free or at a greatly subsidized rate by the government. Western governments are therefore programming women into becoming sterile office slaves and consumers instead of good wives and mothers.

The horror!

And so, poor Roosh laments,

I’ve been unable to find more than a handful [of Eastern European women] under the age of 25 who has shown eagerness into soon becoming a mom.

Or maybe they just don’t want to settle down with an ebook writer who hasn’t yet mastered the rudiments of grammar?

When Roosh talks to these women about their lack of interest in pledging themselves to a patriarch, they tell him they want to be educated, with careers of their own, so they don’t end up stuck in a miserable marriage with an alcoholic husband who cheats on them.

“I need a backup plan in case my husband becomes bad,” these women apparently all tell Roosh.

Never mind that the worries of these women are completely understandable. Alcoholism is a massive problem in Eastern Europe, especially among men, leading not only to crappy marriages but also to an assortment of health issues that all too often cause premature death. In Russia, the fourth-drunkest country in the world (Belarus is number one), more than a third of hard-drinking men die before they reach 55.

So, yeah, Eastern European women are acutely aware that they cannot rely on men to ensure a future for themselves or their children.

But to Roosh, who apparently lives in some conspiracy theory fairyland, Eastern European women who want to be able to provide for themselves (and their children) are sex-crazed tools of The Machine. “Men are bad,” Roosh sarcastically sniffs,

and because of that, she must spend years in university where she gets to experiment with different cocks and where she is firmly taken out of her natural role to learn how to serve a corporate master while her future kid goes to day care and her husband eats cans of tuna because his wife is too tired from work to cook, assuming she even knows how.

A man forced to prepare his own dinner! Damn you, you student-loan-pushing governments!

Women want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to be able to marry the man they are most attracted to, and if that doesn’t work, still be able to enjoy an independent and comfortable life of Ikea furniture and Starbucks without having to put up with a man’s reasonable demands to cook him dinner and make sure the children are taken care of.

How unreasonable these women are, unwilling to spend their lives trapped in a miserable marriage. How terrifying is it that, even without money from a man, they can afford cheap-but-decent-looking furniture and the occasional Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Roosh thinks it’s positively perverse that today’s non-Roosh-marrying Eastern European woman will

spend thousands of hours studying a topic like law or international business relations and became an obedient office worker instead of learning how to obey her husband.

As a result of this educating-women madness, Roosh complains,

we are seeing the disappearance of the nuclear family along with high divorce rates and out-of-wedlock births where future degenerates of the state get to watch mommy get sexy matches on Tinder.

Oh, but it gets worse!

It turns out that these terrible date-having mommies are also, unwittingly, enabling the depopulation agenda of the evil globalists who secretly run the world.

If you take the depopulation agenda to be accurate then it makes sense that you would want to train women to do anything but bond with men in a way that leads to reproduction. That is exactly what most Western governments have done, and it starts by essentially brainwashing women of the need to be free from their husbands by making them obsessed to earn money produced by central banks. Any country where the idea of female employment is seen as “common sense” is in the process of having their culture destroyed, if it hasn’t already been done.

Aw, it’s almost cute just how doggedly Roosh is working at becoming a conspiracy theorist. In the sidebar of his blog, he lists several books he’s currently reading, including Sworn in Secret: Freemasonry and the Knights Templar, a history of Freemasonry that has gotten rave reviews from both Scottish Rite Journal and Knight Templar Magazine (no, really); and None Dare Call it Conspiracy, the paranoid 1971 bestseller setting forth the alleged truth about evil bankers and the sinister … Council on Foreign Relations!

But for Roosh, still finding his conspiracy theory sea legs, there is one aspect of this whole educating-women thing that’s even worserer than the depopulation of planet Earth.

For it turns out that the lizard people — or whoever Roosh imagines runs the global conspiracy — don’t just want to turn women into non-baby-having office drones. They want to turn men into … CUCKS.

I mean, say you actually decide to wife up one of these terrible job-having women, and when you decide she needs to quit her job to devote herself fulltime to taking care of you and the kids, and she says no?

Blame the government, with its subsidized student loans and alluring talk of female empowerment. Blame the government, for conning young women into devoting their lives to “corporate and victimhood training, not wife training.”

And so, when this hypothetical wife of yours refuses your command to quit her job, Roosh tells us, you are, “being actively cucked by your own government.”

Yes, that’s right: by providing student loans to young women, the government is somehow, at least figuratively, “cucking” men because, wait, how on earth would that possibly work?

Roosh, like the alt-righters who won’t let him in their clubhouse, has a rather expansive notion of just what cuckolding is.

So is there a solution to this terrible dilemma? Even in Eastern Europe, Roosh warns us again, city-dwelling women have pretty much all been “seduced by the prospect of free education, city lights, and the ability to sleep around without consequences.” Indeed, Roosh reports with horror, as wife material they are basically as bad as —  *shudder* — American women.

“Unless you start visiting villages or churches,” Roosh sadly concludes, “you’ll end up disappointed.”

Will the churches in Eastern Europe’s tiniest towns soon find themselves overrun by Roosh fanboys gamely asking every woman they meet (and possibly each otherwhere the pet shop is?

Dalilama is right, global fertility rate is going down. Not because of educated women, homosexuality or any kind of conspiracy agenda. It is just a problem of, as the rate suggests it, fertility. The increasing rate of barren or with not powerful enough gametes …

If that’s a problem, it’s a minor one for global population issues, though it’s very likely an issue for some individuals and for specific regions.

This video from Hans Rosling is a good start when looking at how birthrates have declined around the world. I’d also highly recommend the Gapminder site to anyone who’s addicted to numbers and statistics and playing with them.

Other Rosling videos look at the same issues from various perspectives. One favourite of mine is The Magic Washing Machine. http://www.ted.com/talks/hans_rosling_and_the_magic_washing_machine?language=en

@kupo:

Not cool. It’s transphobic to laugh about penis size plus it might summon Walter.

Not that I’m disagreeing with you, but isn’t laughing about penis size more inherently body shaming than transphobia? It can certainly be both, I’m just not sure how transphobia was the first thing you jumped to, because cis men get shamed over “small” endowments all the time.

I mean, I guess the implication is usually that they’re “less manly” than guys who are big. I suppose I figured that was more garden-variety patriarchal sexism rather than transphobia, though? For everything else I’ve seen thrown at trans people over the years, I can’t say I’ve ever come across mocking them over the size of their genitalia. Maybe I’ve just been ignorant to that, in which case thanks for bringing it up. I try not to shame anybody anyway because I’m insecure about myself in the first place, but it’s always good to have extra reasons to remind myself why I shouldn’t!

Sorry for the double-post, missed the edit window: Thinking it through more, I guess the “less manly” insults do tend to extend to “you’re not a REAL MAN” in many circumstances, which is something that is likely thrown at trans men by transphobes. That didn’t initially come to my mind because I’ve far more often seen people screeching in terror about how a woman is “actually a guyyyyyy!!!!!!1!1!1!”, and trans women in general just seem to get far more shit, or at least are more publicized.

@Policy of Madness

Roosh’s model of the way the world works lacks internal cohesion.

It’s so convenient that he and his ilk have developed ways to make it work nevertheless. I mean, of course women want to ride the cock carousel even if they don’t enjoy sex. The evils of feminism have taught women that going against their so-called nature is a reward in itself.

So, when women have all this unnatural sex and unnaturally get to decide who to have it with, they can still unnaturally use it as unnatural leverage to get the beta buck or some such imaginary currency, because only alpha males get their fill in the unnatural sex marketplace.

That being said, I don’t know how wanting sex would equate wanting children. Haven’t people evolved to enjoy sex so that babies would follow, often accidentally?

Exactly, they are supposed to be weeded out as literal undesirables. Even other social animals like baboon troupes will ostracize a male that acts like a shitlord. What Roosh demands is essentially a system of reproductive socialism. I also notice that what they consider “social degradation” is anything that frustrates or inconveniences them, while what they consider “for the good of society” is never for the whole of society, it’s a personal utopia where half the population is enslaved and purposely kept miserable, and where everything caters to a very small racial segment of the male population. In other words, degradation for everyone except them.

with no deflation of global fertility rates in sight? – Bina

Actually, that’s quite untrue. Global population growth rates peaked in the late 1960s at around 2.1% per year, and have since approximately halved. Fertility rates (children per woman) have also approximately halved over that time, from nearly 5 to around 2.5, see here, for example. Absolute population growth (i.e. the arithmetic increase in number of people alive per year) peaked in the 1990s at over 90,000,000 per year, the latest (2015) figure is around 84,000,000 (this figure has increased in the past few years, but is expected to resume its decline as a “bulge” in the number of women of peak childbearing age passes). Growth rates and fertility rates have declined in almost every country over the past few decades, and continue to do so in most countries. All this has correlated with, and is almost certainly largely caused by, improvements in the education and status of women. So in terms of the bare facts, Roosh is not too far from the truth. Where he’s absolutely wrong, of course, is in attributing this to a conspiratorial “depopulation agenda”, and in thinking that it’s a bad thing!

WTF do Roosh’s selfishness and misogyny have to do with any form of socialism? I conclude that you haven’t the slightest idea what that word means. He is in fact objecting to state provision of educational opportunities – something which rightists typically denounce as socialism.

I didn’t read througfh the whole thread before responding to Bina on fertility rates, but hopefully the more detailed information and links I provided are helpful. As for occasional reader’s comment linking declining fertility rates to biological problems and endocrine disrputors, the evidence on that is far from clear, and the number of people who want children and can’t produce them still appears to be relatively small – all or almost all the decline in fertility rates appears to be down to social causes, and particularly women’s choices, not biology. In this connection, it’s been observed (I don’t know whether any thorough study has been done) that the lowest fertility rates – well below replacement level, as found in Japan, Italy, Iran (yes, Iran, where more than half of university students are female) and much of eastern Europe – tend to be in countries where women have relatively good educational and career opportunities, but men still refuse to take any responsibility for domestic labour.

“WTF do Roosh’s selfishness and misogyny have to do with any form of socialism?”

Uh, it has nothing to do with any existing form of socialism. He is demanding that society and the government provide and allot a woman to dominate and reproduce with as if his twisted desires were on par with a right to have his fundamental needs met.

It’s seriously looking like a worthy cause to donate money so that even the far flung villages have internet access – just in case Roosh shows up and expresses interest in anyone’s daughters, they should be able to look up what he supposedly does for a living and the kind of life he lives…

Disgusting pig who complains about wiping his ass amongst other normal hygiene activities that just about everyone does because it’s basic cleanliness stuff…I’m baffled that a former microbiologist like Roosh is doing a ton of mental gymnastics to avoid actual medical testing for sexually transmitted diseases, kind of like he’s done to convince himself that any conservative or liberal woman would want to hitch themselves to his wagon, bear his children, and content herself with ikea furniture + the occasional starbucks latte. Lavish, man. How does he avoid all those golddiggers out for his mountain of cash…(snork).

I think “reproductive socialism” is an apt term. We’ve seen it literally argued by the aforementioned blogger-who-must-not-be-named, and it’s implied every time someone in the manosphere writes about women as a collectively owned commodity that has gotten too privatized (see: the “80-20 rule” and the Chad Phenomenon). They’re always calling for stricter laws and restrictions on women in order to level the playing field, increase “supply”, and allow more men access. Don’t let them work! Don’t let them vote! Shame them! Make them dumber and more dependent so I can have a shot! Take rights away from them so I look more appealing! And they’re serious about this.

I dunno, maybe they see themselves more as trustbusters. Either way, once you start from the notion that women are property and relationships are economics, you’ve gone horribly wrong and there’s no turning back.

(Curiously, it’s only women that cause them to advocate for tampering with existing legal, economic, and social systems. Level the playing field to create a more equitable distribution of actual wealth and commodities? No, that would go against their libertarian principles!)

@msexceptiontotherule

Don’t forget, he promised possible dog ownership too!

You’d think someone posing in front of BMWs with wads of totally-not-pretend cash would be able to offer more than a couple of particleboard bookcases and a geometric pile rug that most likely needs to be fumigated before allowing it indoors. Talk about bait and switch.

He’ll have to pay a sizeable dowry for his traditional peasant bride, so most likely the bookcases are gonna get hocked anyway.

*Not meant to furniture-shame, of course – I have some IKEA stuff in my house. It’s that fronting as a wealthy businessman rolling in cash might create certain…expectations on the part of his future bride.

dslucia

@kupo:
Definitely agree with that.

To go off on a tangent about “real men”, it’s always simultaneously a bit funny and sad to me how the manosphere complains about… toxic masculinity, essentially, but then at the mere mention of the term they get into a massive uproar about how dare anyone try to destroy what makes them men.

Precisely. So WTF have socialists done to be slandered by association with scum like Roosh?

Since fascism had the subordination of women as one of its central tenets, along with an obsession with getting the racially “pure” to breed, and included considerable elements of state provision for those in the privileged group; and there is a huge overlap between MRA/PUAs and the “Alt-Right” (a.k.a. fascism 2.0), why look beyond “fascism” for the appropriate term?

But it’s not just Roosh spouting this sort of rhetoric. There are also non-white/non-supremacist MRAs saying something similar, that all men be ‘granted’ a woman, arguing that men will then longer need to “compete” for women, meaning no more hyper-masculinity and attendant destructive behaviours. So it’s their own warped way they claim this will benefit society.

Roosh, you fucking hate women. I’m sorry you’re only realising now that you’re ageing out of the club scene that you’d like more than just a quick bang, but you’ve so poisoned yourself against women that you are never going to find one. Never. And I’m very happy about that, because any woman who got married to you would be fucking miserable. I would also not inflict you as a father on any poor unfortunate child.

@Nick Gotts – Because they’ve literally argued the point that men be alloted women, that attractive women should be forced to sleep with men (in order to “spread the wealth” so that men don’t become homicidal rage machines), and/or that “incels” should be provided with government-subsidized visits to prostitutes (for the same reason).

They talk about sex in economic terms (see: SMV) and call for it’s more equal distribution (that is, more equal distribution amongst men).

It’s not an insult to socialism to label this as a call for “sexual socialism”.
It’s an insult to sex (or, more specifically access to woman-shaped-sex-hole-carriers, since that’s how these guys seem to think of women) to talk about it as a resource that should be extracted and redistributed.
