Spearheaders on the SlutWalks. Again. It’s bad.

From the Dallas SlutWalk

Oh dear. The Spearheaders are talking about the Slutwalks again. The discussion may be the worst on the subject that I have run across so far. Some of the lowlights:

Keyster seems downright pissed that women actually have the right to say no:

They’re high functioning children with sexual power and they don’t want you to forget it. They’re outraged that just because a young woman dresses and acts in a sexually provocative manner, that she might receive unwanted attention from young men that don’t appeal to her.

She should be able to dress like a street whore and abuse alcohol to the point of delerium and they feel compelled to lecture us on how that doesn’t mean this is an advertisment to be sexually harrassed, sexually assaulted or heaven forbid raped. …

They want the “RIGHT” to dress as sexually provocative as they want to without being constantly annoyed by lowly beta males. They’d prefer you not “sexually victimize” them, unless you’re hot and they’re into you, then it’s totally OK. …

Remember this: She didn’t bother to get dressed up for the likes of YOU. Her hope was a worthy athelete or Hollywood star might notice her and talk to her; not some weak, pathetic loser …

“We’ve got the sexual power, the power of consent, the gate keeper of the holy vaginal crevice. See our bouncing propped up cleavage, our long legs and glorious ass protruding from those heels? You want it don’t you?

….ha, ha, ha…you can’t have it because I SAY SO! Because I have THIS power over you, lowly little man. Bow down to me and beg me a little, I might even let the others see me talking to you, without calling the cops.” …

This isn’t feminism, it’s flaunting female sexual power in the faces of men.

You’re seriously complaining that woman have the “power of consent!?” EVERYONE has the power of consent. No one male or female is obliged to have sex with anyone they don’t want to. That’s, you know, rape. It bothers you that women are the “the gate keeper[s] of the holy vaginal crevice?” Who the fuck else should be the gatekeeper of a person’s vagina other than the person whose vagina it is? The mind reels. But apparently the 50+ upvoters of this piece of abhorrent nonsense aren’t bothered by any of this.

Demirogue, meanwhile, suggests we need to better discipline our women:

While perusing FB last week I came across the newest deviation of this mentality which is going topless. …  And they want to cry about rape? They need to cry but only because people said enough is enough and started to belt them on their asses.

Women need to be controlled and on a very, very short leash. They’ve been given every right, every option, every opportunity to be something and what do they do with it? Abuse and manipulate it with reckless abandonment and incessant demands.

Geography Bee Finalist himself thinks the slutwalkers must be retarded:

I wouldn’t worry too much about these Slutwalk sows.

They have no redeeming features. None.

They cannot figure out that if you dress like a whore, you deserve to be treated in a disrespectful manner. Even conservatively dressed mentally retarded women can figure this out and conduct themselves with more propriety and intelligence than these Slutwalkers … .

Knuckledragger blames it on those damned suffragettes:

…we let ‘em drive, we let ‘em vote, and this is what we get.

Ridiculous to even offer attention to another excuse to dress like a whore, goof off in public, and not bring me a beer.

Any man worth his salt should fire any skank who was “sick” from work to attend this nonsense.

SingleDad seems to think that all accusations of rape are made up:

Rape is now the extra tax women charge men if some how their unsatisfied with whatever arrangement was made before or after any encounter in or outside of marriage.

Other lowlights:

Poiuyt agreeing with Anders Breivik’s  “observations surrounding this femaleist pandemic,” while adding  that he  “is to be rebuked for taking the wrong cureative actions to solve it.”

Demirogue (in a second comment) complaining that “overvalued pussy is all [women today] have to offer and only to certain men.”

Anonymous age 69 explaining that “rape laws were intended to protect women of good character, from being sexually violated,” not “to protect promiscuous sluts .”

And more, much, much more. Many of the worst (including most of those quoted here) have many dozens of upvotes.  Go read the thread yourself, if you think you can stomach it.

There are no arguments to rebut here; I can only repeat the basic message that the slutwalks are trying to convey: no one deserves to be raped, no matter what they are wearing or how much consensual sex they engage in. Even if they show some cleavage or prefer athletes and/or rocks stars to so-called beta males.

Alright, NWOslave, you would prefer it if women dressed in “modest” attire. I’d prefer it if women dressed like they just stepped out of 1949.

My aesthetic preference doesn’t trump women’s right to dress as they damn well please, and neither does yours.

PS: My Grammar Nazism will have to have a rest this week. It’s too hard copying and pasting with the technology I have access to here in BC. You have free rein to abuse our Mother Tongue to your heart’s content.

You say ‘filthy sluts’ like it’s a bad thing.

NWO, women have created as much as we’ve been allowed to.

Yes, men put a man on the moon. Because they weren’t hiring too many women at NASA in the sixties.

Now that feminism has opened NASA up a bit, they’ve got female physicists, engineers, and, yep, astronauts. And they’re doing just as well as their male counterparts.

Thats right, men, not women created pretty much everything, Science, art, philosophy, all of it. And ya know what? The reason why men did all these great things and not women isn’t because women were ever oppressed. It’s because men are so fucking great at all those things.

you get the part where none of those men were you, right?

Well last I checked, being a dick tease wasn’t against the law, either. Just don’t be surprised if people call you on it.

Damn I feel so alive being un-moderated.

“Not. a. problem. Just don’t expect men not to openly, with joyous abandon publicly call you filthy sluts.”

And yet so many men *do* refrain from calling me a filthy slut when I wear shorts, all of them, really. In fact, I’ve never once been called a slut! And I wear some short shorts on hot days. But I’m also betting that screaming and labelling me a slut wasn’t even on most men’s minds! I bet they were so busy with their individual days that they didn’t notice little old me. Almost like how I dress DIDN’T EVEN MATTER TO THEM AND THEY MINDED THEIR OWN BUSINESS.

theyre not teasing you. they don’t care how you respond to their attire or their attitudes or anything. theyre not there for you, not for a single second. they just want you not to rape them. thats the whole thing. if dont rape people is such a tough concept for you, thats your problem, not anyone elses.

If a man goes out topless on a hot day is he asking to be raped? How dare he tease us with his pecks!

Holly Pervocracy

Well last I checked, being a dick tease wasn’t against the law, either. Just don’t be surprised if people call you on it.

Call on it, sure (although it still makes you a douchebag). But sexual assault isn’t “being called on it.”

As for the “everything great is done by men” thing, aside from being so factually bankrupt it’s pretty clear men aren’t so good at history…

If this was true–if women were naturally mentally inferior–why would sexism be necessary? Women wouldn’t be capable of achievement, so there’d be no need to keep them from achieving. Women wouldn’t understand physics, so there would be no female physicists to shut out.

It’s like how universities don’t have rules against admitting dogs. If a dog gets good enough SATs, well, that’s not a problem they’ve had to deal with. There’s no reason to keep dogs down because dogs really aren’t equal to people.

The fact that it takes a lot of work and fighting to keep women down suggests that maybe we aren’t so inferior after all.

“you get the part where none of those men were you, right?”

Ahha but you’re wrong. I have invented many machines from scratch. No schooling at all. Ya know how I was able to invent prototype automated machinery from scratch with no training? Because I’m a man. My manly, man brain gave me an inherent ability to accomplish such wonderous things. Oh the raw power of being a man intellectually, emotionally and physically is indescribable.

Yeah, NOWslave, I may not have created much science or philosophy, but I’ve created tons of art, and plan to continue to do so and continue to improve my skills.

What have you done?

PS: I also know many women who are very talented artists, in about equal numbers to the male artists I know, so I fail to see what gender has to do with it.

@NWOslave

I built a PC by myself, with no training etc etc. I just used the power of my womanly woman brain. Oh the raw power of being a woman intellectually, emotionally and physically is indescribable.

dont hit people. dont rape people. really, man, these are pretty basic rules. most of us learn them young. has it ever occurred to you that the fact that you find them so fucking unfair means you have a problem, not everyone else.

right, i forgot, youre a poor delicate flower being held down by those mean nasty feminists. seriously, dude, all you have is excuses, and nobody hear is fooled by them.

Kind of OT, but reading this thread, I find myself thinking that in the best of all worlds, Ami Angelwings, Captain Bathrobe, Holly Pervocracy and Johnny Pez would have their very own Mockin’ Misogyny band. And it would be awesome!

On topic: can’t help but notice NWO’s interesting complaint that “men are supposed to keep it in their pants, but not women.” Is NWO perhaps unaware of the fact that due to certain structural features, most women don’t actually have anything they could, even theoretically, take “out of their pants?”

Based on NWO’s overall grasp of reality, I wouldn’t be surprised.

sharc, the problem here, and in fact for all our MRA trolls, is that for them, women =/= people. If you read their comments with that in mind, the logic actually follows into place.

OK, not logic. What’s the word for an internally consistent system based on an inherent fallacy?

Also, Ion’s little smileys? I read them as the commenting equivalent of saying “Jeez, it was just a joke, why are you getting so mad?” You know, the kind of thing someone says after making a maliciously racist statement. Right before they talk about Chris Rock.

i know this is supposed to be some sort of weird passive aggressive taunt, but dude… im a dude. born with a dick, happy with my dick, the whole nine yards. check your perceptions at the door, next time, if your manly man brain is capable of that.

Well last I checked, being a dick tease wasn’t against the law, either. Just don’t be surprised if people call you on it.

Hmm…Well, being a nominally straight guy, I don’t know that I’ve ever been a “dick tease” personally, except maybe for that one experimental time in college…

Oh wait, you’re calling me gay, as if it were an insult! How quaint! I didn’t know people still did that! No, regardless of my checkered past I’m not gay for the most part. Don’t have that honor, sorry.

Seriously, though, one of the purposes of events like the slutwalk is to reclaim the term “slut,” just as gay people did with “queer.” Or, as Pyena said above, “you say that like it’s a bad thing.”

Maybe you could have a douche bag walk, in order to reclaim the term for proud douche bags everywhere? I’d fully support your right to do so. Stay strong, Brother Douche Bag!

ya, that’s how i read it to. what i meant is, if you want to make jokes that push boundaries, either have the courage to own up to them and be confident that people will understand what youre doing, or dont make them at all
