Oh dear. The Spearheaders are talking about the Slutwalks again. The discussion may be the worst on the subject that I have run across so far. Some of the lowlights:
Keyster seems downright pissed that women actually have the right to say no:

There are no arguments to rebut here; I can only repeat the basic message that the slutwalks are trying to convey: no one deserves to be raped, no matter what they are wearing or how much consensual sex they engage in. Even if they show some cleavage or prefer athletes and/or rocks stars to so-called beta males.
I find it hypocritical that MRAs call women “high-functioning children” and then whine about how, as “visual creatures”, they can’t help themselves if a woman is tempting them.

Samuel: You seem to be misunderstanding the point of Slutwalks. It’s not to tell men they can’t lust after women. I wrote a post about some piggish men when I was last in Ukraine.
I recommend you read it, and the comments. Pay attention to what the (predominately) women don’t say in response to my comment about how I look at random women.
What slutwalks are about is telling men they can’t just take. They have to get permission. The woman has to 1: want and 2: agree, before anything is going to happen.
If you look at the comments on Spearhead, they are complaining they can’t just grab any scantily clad woman who gets them hot and have their way with her. They are whining about women, “waving it in their face” (NWO compared it to dangling food in front of the starving, and then being shocked when they stole it.
Which is so wrong, on so many levels.

I think a better analogy might be having a Ferrari rally in front of someone who…really wants a Ferrari. Unfortunate, but certainly no justification for stealing one.
Of course, all these analogies run up against the same problem: women are not objects, and their sexuality is not a commodity. The sexuality is an integral part of the woman, like her mind and heart. You can’t have one without the rest, and you can’t “have” her anyway, since women are people, not something one can possess. Even if a man has enthusiastically consensual sex with a woman every night, he still doesn’t “have” her, because she’s free to refuse consent for sex at any time for any reason, and vice versa.
It’s really not hard to understand: nothing is being offered or taken away because there is no “thing” involved. There are only people, who may or may not consent to share a particular experience with you.
If I look like a great swimmer who would be great to go swimming with, that still doesn’t obligate me to go swimming with you, even if I’m walking down the street wearing a Speedo (perish the thought!).
If I’m a fun person with whom you would really like to have a beer, that doesn’t in any way obligate me to have a beer with you, even if you really, really want to and even if I’ve had a beer with everyone else in town and I go about wearing a “beer drinking champ” shirt.
Why, then, should women be obligated to have sex with all comers (no pun intended) based on how they are dressed? I get to choose with whom I go swimming, and that’s not nearly as intimate an act as sex.

Yup, this. One of the chants we did that I particularly liked was:

No matter if a woman is in a stripclub or a convent, her bodily autonomy should be respected. No matter if a woman is in a bikini or a burqa you have to listen to her “no” and respect it. If a woman takes off her top you’re not suddenly allowed to rape her — and if a woman is assaulted it shouldn’t matter what justification the rapist uses (“she was acting slutty!” “she went home with me!” “she was wearing a mini skirt!”) because there is no justification for raping someone.
The slutwalks originally started, I believe, to protest the advice of a Toronto police officer who said that if women wanted to avoid rape they shouldn’t “dress slutty.” The slutwalkers are saying that even if a woman chooses to “dress slutty” she still deserves respect and control of her own body and legal protection — and a police officer of all people should not be blaming the victim of a crime just because he doesn’t like her outfit.

First off, Sharculese has committed so many acts of poor grammar I demand spearhafoc, (the designated grammar nazi), pulverize her into dust.
Probably MRAs like myself find it gaulling for women to demand to be praised for being sluts. Plus the complete hypocracy of women not being able to keep it in their pants, demanding to be respected for not being able to keep it in their pants, while demanding men to, you guessed it, keep it in their pants.
This might be just me, but when I make an effort to dress “slutty” or otherwise, I don’t do it for the approval of men unless I’m on a date or something. In such a case, I do it for the approval of one man, the one I may be willing to sleep with.
If I’m not dressing for the approval of a man, then it’s to, I suppose, out do other women on a night out or something. This does not mean I’m looking to score all the guys before other women do. In the “being a girl” department I can be competitive so I like to show everyone that I can look good without luminous fake tan, 2 inches of makeup, fake square nails etc.
The only time I ever would like a man to approach me in pursuit of romance, is when I’m dressed casually. I’m more myself dressed casually than anything else so if a guy likes how I look in that case, then it’s more than likely he’ll like me for who I am too. I know a guy is only after sex when he approaches me on a night out when I’m dolled up and drinking. That’s why I say no =P
