There are no arguments to rebut here; I can only repeat the basic message that the slutwalks are trying to convey: no one deserves to be raped, no matter what they are wearing or how much consensual sex they engage in. I don’t know, I didn’t read this (especially the first quote) as complaining that women have ‘power of consent’, but rather that they basically want to flaunt their sexuality, to openly tease men with it, to walk right up to the line and then gloat “no, you can’t have this!” Which yes, implies that men have no self-control, but it’s the gloating attitude and the underlying “we should be able to do whatever we want with no consequences” message that I think bothers most people.

No matter how you look at it Bagelsan whether Male MRA or not, if there is a rally
whether it is called a “slutwalk”, or another name where topless woman are there, there will

standard that men can be legally topless but women are not allowed. One of the female

lewd comments- that was not her intent of the rally. I am sure that some of the men
attending the rally were there as political supporters for the original cause of the rally

port the cause. However, IMO Men have this natural sexual attraction to the opposite
sex ( I speak for heterosexual men) and men love the sight of womens breasts. So
no matter how liberal a man may say he is and believe in a cause like “slutwalk”
or women being allowed to go topless, the natural “god given” animal attraction that a
man has for a womens body will cause him to lust after women which I am sure
was not the original intention of the rally. I guess men are learning ( as many men are doing
these days) to have better control over their sex drive. The natural physical

Ion – I think that “teasing” narrative is too often applied to events where the woman had no clue that she was doing such a thing.
For example: I’m going to go visit my boyfriend, so I put on “sexy” clothing for him. Any other guys who see me on my way might be turned on, but I didn’t mean them to be. And when I keep going on my way, I’m not trying to snub those guys–I just didn’t expect to run into them in the first place.
And when it comes to clothing, we should be able to do whatever we want with no consequences. (Or at least no consequences along the lines of “disbelieved and/or blamed if we get assaulted.”) That would actually be an ideal world.
