Men’s Rights Redditors take on the critical issue of sex workers exploiting horny dudes

You can find this shameless man-exploiter plying her trade nightly on Bush Street

By David Futrelle

The Men’s Rights activists of Reddit may not have any interest in doing anything about Hurricane Harvey, or even talking about doing something, but don’t worry, they are willing to talk about one of the crucial issues of our day: the cruel exploitation of horny men by sex workers — women who actually charge these poor fellows money to have sex with them.

I mean, have you ever heard of such a thing?

7 Social IssuesJust listen to an interview of a hooker. She chose the profession because she has "a very strong libido" (and wanted money). It tells a lot about the sexual power structure that a woman with with a "strong libido" gets paid but a man in the same situation never gets money but must often pay himself. (self.MensRights) submitted 10 hours ago * by HiilestTehtyAffena Another shower thought: in a hour long interview not once was she asked about how she felt about the fact that she exploits (certain kind of) men. I'm not saying she is, but when I listened to her, the idea lingered into my mind: what she's doing is not so different from what drug dealers do. It would have been an interesting angle. EDIT: I didn't add any link because the interview is in Finnish but here it is anyway: https://areena.yle.fi/1-4199646 Its a program series by the national broadcasting company (YLE) called "Ask anything". They ask people with different interesting occupations (a policeman, priest, escort ...) to studio and then interview them based partly on listeners' questions.

Ladies, you may be a little confused by the assertion that horny men pay themselves for sex, but it’s true: Every time a man masturbates, he has to pay himself anywhere from five to twenty dollars (depending on how much equipment is involved).

Doesn’t sound like much but it adds up!

The men in this “movement” are angry they can’t own women slaves for free or rape them without possible repercussions.
Female sex workers having agency pisses them off. Women who aren’t sex workers having agency pisses them off. Women enjoying sex at all pisses them off. Women happily not having sex with cis white men pisses them off. Women having sex with anyone who isn’t them pisses them off. Women having any expectations of pleasure, respect, companionship or mutual support of any kind who are willing to have sex with them piss them off.

They’re just consumed with rage that women are people. They want us to be things they can use whenever they like.

They know they could do sex work if they wanted to. But they’d be expected to provide service to their clients and that isn’t what they want. That isn’t sexual domination. It isn’t exploiting someone for pleasure and profit. It’s getting paid for providing a service. That’s why they would never do it. They know they’re lying when they say these shitty things about women who do sex work.

The women who join them in this demonizing have internalized so much misogyny that I almost pity them.
Almost.

epitome of incomprehensibility

@Virgin Mary – oh yeah, that’s gross stuff. šŸ™ Besides the variations on “anti-antifa” and a slogan like “To make things right, kill all the left”* some of them have semi-known white supremacist symbols, like the 3-forked branch rune (not always a racist symbol, but definitely in this context). FB shouldn’t be profiting from shit like that.

*Here is a better (if sillier) version of that joke: A man lost his entire left side in an accident. But it’s okay – he’s all right now. šŸ˜›

Shower thought: what’s a ‘strong/high libido’ anyway? Presumably, it’s a sorta scale. Some people are more or less, so what’s the cut off and how is it vaguely measured? Also, does it refer to intensity of feeling or frequency? Both? Something else entirely? I dunno, and am now quite curious…

You know there is economic growth in two areas:

– Developing personal services for women (aka manwhoring).
– Providing women with competent companionship (aka house husband).

I have a house husband. All he ever does when I am awake is pay attention to me and do things for me. He pays ZEEEEEEEERO dollars for the privilege and reports being quite happy. He is not kinky or submissive, he’s just a really awesome person and it’s super great to spend time with him. He’s also autistic. Imagine that.

I think these guys don’t actually believe a woman would ever give them the time of day, so they are just lashing out. They obviously don’t have the skills to provide women with companionship and lack the empathy to be able to figure out how. If they were decent human beings, there would be a place for them at the table.

Iā€™m guessing what he actually wants is zero effort, no commitment sex with any women he happens to like. Not gonna happen.

I think what I’m struggling with is where these whiny little morons got the idea that that is even REALISTIC.

I mean – I know it’s a myth that’s been created – but other than that, where did that idea even come from? Why do they have it? Where did they get it??
