The pledge drive is going better! But we’re not quite there yet

I was really worried — terrified, really — that this was it for the blog, but you all came through in a big way and things are looking much more secure.

The pledge drive is going badly and the survival of this blog is at stake. Please help.

I have bad news, and I’m going to have to be blunt. The pledge drive is going very poorly so far. Some of you have donated already – and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate those of you who have. But most of you haven’t, and the donations are coming in so slowly that, if this continues for the rest of the pledge drive, it’s going to mean the end of We Hunted the Mammoth. I’ll have enough to get through another month, maybe, and then I’ll have to shut it down.

The last time I was in a similar situation, during the early days of the last pledge drive, you folks came through in a big way and, well, saved the blog, and again I thank you for that act of generosity. I really hope you can do it again. If everyone who reads and enjoys this blog were to donate, we’d be more than fine. If even a good portion of you donate, we’ll be alright.

With the anti-trans backlash on top of the misogynistic backlash I’ve covered for more than a decade, this blog is more necessary than ever. Having to shut it down would break my heart, and I think it might break some of yours. Please help, if you can.

The Pledge Drive … is not going great

Sorry to have to bring some bad news to you all, but the pledge drive is, well, not doing so great. While some of you have stepped up and donated, in some cases generously, the total number of donors has been much smaller than usual, and unless we can turn this around, hopefully in the next few days, I’m going to have trouble keeping the blog running. It’s likely I’ll have to cut back on posts, possibly drastically, and/or seriously consider shutting the blog down. I’m really sorry to have to even raise this as a possibility, but unfortunately it’s a real one.

Which seems a pity, because if everyone who enjoys this blog on a regular basis were to donate even a small amount of money, as a lump sum or monthly, we could raise all the necessary money to keep the blog (and me) thriving in a matter of a couple of hours.

Thanks, everyone! The pledge drive is now officially over

I’m as happy as a capybara at a spa with a lemon on its head!

We didn’t quite reach the goal I set for this pledge drive, but we came very very close. So I’m going to bring this extended pledge drive to a close. Though if you haven’t donated yet and want to get in on the action, the button below will take care of all your needs.

As I’ve said before, I love doing this blog (often despite the subject matter) and I’m glad you find it valuable in some ways, whether you’re keeping up with the current state of inceldom or simply enjoying some hearty MGTOW cooking. (Vicariously, I hope; those guys don’t seem to understand how to safely cook meat.)

I’m extending the pledge drive a few more days because, unfortunately, the donations so far have not been enough to cover my basic expenses much less the cost of some unfortunate but necessary dental work. We’re only about 2/3 of the way there yet.

Many of you have already donated, some quite generously, and I am extremely grateful for your support (as I am for the support of you monthly donors). But if you haven’t donated yet, please do! I realize that some of you have been hit hard by the pandemic and can’t afford to give now. But if you’re doing ok and can possibly swing a donation, I sure would appreciate it.

You’ll be providing a lifeline for me and for this blog, a unique and independent media outlet that delivers (almost) daily coverage of some of the worst people out there in our current political hellscape. All without ads and hectoring popups.

Pledge drive: Urgent update

The pledge drive is in trouble, and I really need your help.

Though many of you have already donated – and I can’t thank you enough for that – the total so far is considerably less than I need to cover my expenses. So if you haven’t donated yet, please do.

I know this is an awkward time to ask for money. But if you can spare even a few dollars, you’ll be providing a lifeline to an independent, ad-free blog that deflates some of the most toxic shit out there in the “Red Pill” world. And you’ll enable me to keep serving up daily posts without worrying constantly about how to cover the next rent check.

Or insurance premium. Most of my money problems are due to the US’s mess of a health care system – I spend more on medical expenses than I do on rent. A recent trip to the emergency room for searing back pain didn’t exactly help my financial position.

I’m expecting things to improve in 2020. I’m working on building up my freelance writing business again, and I’ll be unveiling a new project soon. But right now, frankly, I need all the help I can get.

I love doing this blog, and I’m forever grateful that it brings something to so many people’s lives. You folks – pledge drive donors and regular supporters — have enabled me to keep We Hunted the Mammoth going for nine years, and I hope that together we can keep it going for the tenth year and beyond.
