And they can’t seem to decide what excites them more: the prospect of endless on-demand sex with robot super-hotties — or ruining the lives of non-robotic women who won’t be able to compete with the aforementioned robot super-hotties.

Let’s let the MGTOW Nostradamus who calls himself EnterPseudonym explain how it’s all going to go down when the sexbot revolution arrives at last.
Men will be ecstatic to finally have something they can put their penis into that doesn’t talk:

Sexbots aren’t appealing to women because a sexbot is only good for sex and won’t actually be able to provide for a woman.
After the sexbot revolution, the world will be filled with desperate women.
Sexbots will essentially collapse the already ruined market for sex. Women will lose much of their social power, and a social switch might happen where males who haven’t chosen to use sexbots are extremely rare.
And so women will start throwing themselves at any man who will have them.
When 90% of males have dropped out of the market, the 80% of women will be competing for whatever man they can find.
Men who’d been cruelly rejected by real-life women in pre-sexbot days will suddenly find themselves in very high demand.
A former sexbot user, could get tired of his sexbot and want to settle down. He enters a market which is deprived of sperm, and now a man that was ugly, overweight, and typically undesirable before the social collapse, is now part of the top 10% of males. He has his choice with almost any woman. Any woman would choose this “undesirable” man because in fact he is desirable.
They never get tired of this fantasy, do they?
Somehow, though, I suspect that even if 90% of straight men were to take themselves off the market EnterPseudonym would still have trouble convincing women that he was much of a catch.

A whopping 90% of men won’t want a woman, when there’s a sexbot available, because (of course) 90% of men think like they do. Also, 90% of men are in the same financial situation the poster is imagining, such that $5,000 extra isn’t THAT hard to pony up.
Women are as self-centered, resource-extractive, and toxic as these guys and look at men as being the gatekeepers of something they can’t get on their own.
“Overweight,” “ugly,” and “undesirable” all go together, because everyone judges everyone else based on a narrow standard of physical beauty and no other metric. The man who goes from “undesirable” to “desirable” because he’s tired of his sex toy was undesirable because of his looks alone, not anything else he might contribute to a relationship.

Running a human-like sex-bot would require about 19 hours of charging each day (assuming you use a laptop charger) which would cost you 42$ each day which means 1360$ a month just in electricity. Using a high power car charger you can get a day’s worth of charge in 3 minutes, but it would still cost the same amount of electricity. The average American earns ~44000$ a year (which is due to some rich people earning 100s of times that much each year, the average American probably has less). If you safe up 10% of that each year when you start to work as an 18 year old (good luck finding a job that pays you ~4000$/month as an 18 years old), You’d be aboout 98 by the time you can afford that robot. So enjoy your sexual liberty in the retirement home MGTOW folks!
At least now you don’t have to worry about the electricity bills because 1360$/month means just buying the robot is cheaper than the electricity it consumes for the first 21 years, so you’d have spend around 700.000$ by the time you are 117 (assuming you get that old).
Even if having one woman actually required you to pay 20.000$ over a life time, you could have 35 girlfriends at once for your whole life for the same cost as 1 sexbot.

I know it’s been said before, but we are a long long way off before human-like robots become affordable to the average person. Government sponsored programs are still working on robots that perfectly mimic animal movement, recent attempts to create sex bots have birthed ghastly beings that are probably a 2/10 on the PUA scale at best. In the next few decades, MGTOWs can have expensive ugly sexbots or no sexbots at all. That’s how it is.
And by the way, for all their blather about a sexbot revolution are any of them actually fucking doing anything about it? I would tell even sex workers to stay away from them. MRAs like to feel that they’re “dominating” a woman sexually, which is probably why they want sexbots and not just fleshlights. I wouldn’t trust them not to do something grim to a sex worker, non-consensually of course, in order to feel “alpha”.

It’s really odd that they insist affordable sexbots would lead to all men ignoring women. How lifelike do sexbots need to be before it all goes down? Will we see a gradual decline as the technology advances, or will men just sit around saying “it’s pretty good, but I’m going to wait for the improved model” untill they’re perfected and then suddenly 90% of men drop out? In the end the sexbot fantasy seems to just be about picturing how miserable women’ll be, not about how awesome the robot sex is going to be.
Do MGTOW ever argue anti-bestiality laws should be abolished? I’ve read about MRA rape apologia and some of them wanting to remove age of consent laws, so it wouldn’t sound too extreme for them. They wouldn’t even need to wait for the technology to improve, cause animals already exist. They could truly go their own way away from the human race entirely then*. And they already call human women bitches/cows/whales/slugs/etc anyway.

So, their real problem is that they think that women are only good for sex, and they’re mad that women want things other than sex, like time spent together talking and doing non-sexual things together and emotional support, from a relationship. They also believe that the only thing that other men want from relationships is sex and that they find all other time spent in the relationship to be mere maintainance. God, I can’t figure out why MGTOWs have so much trouble getting girlfriends.

I agree, but all the more reason why sex bots should have zero appeal for them. They SAY they want a woman to have sex with them on demand but what they really want is a conquest. You can’t humiliate or subjugate a sexbot, so where would be the “fun” in that? Shudder. Sexbots are only slightly more complicated masturbation, and if we invented them tomorrow I would give it days before MRAs were whining about Sexbots being for “incels” and that they are entitled to the use of (other) biological bodies.

Didn’t read through all the comments yet, so apologies if I’m repeating what has already been said. But two things:
What makes them think they would be so desirable to actual women even if this scenario actually played out exactly this way? Presumably it’s the bottom 90% of men who would turn to sexbots, right? And don’t they already think only a tiny minority of men are getting laid right now in reality? So what’s the difference? All the incels would take themselves off the market, but they were already not in the market to begin with. So when one incel goes back out there to look for a woman, wouldn’t all the women still be taken by the same tiny minority of desirable men? I’m trying to follow along and grant them every single step in this implausible scenario, but it still doesn’t make any sense in the end.
Second, I would fucking love to make a reality show or documentary about a handful of these guys when they finally get their sexbots. Imagine how quickly they would get bored. Maybe they truly don’t understand that their dual feelings of desire and hatred for women are sort of interdependent (if I’m using that word correctly)? There’s no way they would have that rageboner for a sexbot, because they only hate real women. And rageboners are the only boners they have. I can just see the disappointment on these guys’ faces when they suddenly realize they can’t actually have their “revenge” on women through mistreating a robot stand-in.

They would have to pay money every single time, though. I think part of the appeal of the sexbot is they want to pay once and then they can have unlimited sex without leaving the basement. Also, on a more icky note, I think they also need to own the sexbot. They can’t own a sex worker.
