And they can’t seem to decide what excites them more: the prospect of endless on-demand sex with robot super-hotties — or ruining the lives of non-robotic women who won’t be able to compete with the aforementioned robot super-hotties.

Let’s let the MGTOW Nostradamus who calls himself EnterPseudonym explain how it’s all going to go down when the sexbot revolution arrives at last.
Men will be ecstatic to finally have something they can put their penis into that doesn’t talk:

But, wait, won’t women be able to buy themselves sexbots as well?
Well, yeah, but women aren’t going to want them, because sexbots can’t provide what women really want: money.
Sexbots aren’t appealing to women because a sexbot is only good for sex and won’t actually be able to provide for a woman.
After the sexbot revolution, the world will be filled with desperate women.
Sexbots will essentially collapse the already ruined market for sex. Women will lose much of their social power, and a social switch might happen where males who haven’t chosen to use sexbots are extremely rare.
And so women will start throwing themselves at any man who will have them.
When 90% of males have dropped out of the market, the 80% of women will be competing for whatever man they can find.
Men who’d been cruelly rejected by real-life women in pre-sexbot days will suddenly find themselves in very high demand.
A former sexbot user, could get tired of his sexbot and want to settle down. He enters a market which is deprived of sperm, and now a man that was ugly, overweight, and typically undesirable before the social collapse, is now part of the top 10% of males. He has his choice with almost any woman. Any woman would choose this “undesirable” man because in fact he is desirable.
They never get tired of this fantasy, do they?
Somehow, though, I suspect that even if 90% of straight men were to take themselves off the market EnterPseudonym would still have trouble convincing women that he was much of a catch.
T6: Rise of the Sexbots
Sounds like they have a thing for 1950’s sci fi robots. I vote we leave them to it.
I love how every MGTOW secretly hopes he can convince all the other men on earth to become MGTOW’s so that he’ll be the only available man left and he’ll finally get to sleep with all those swimsuit models he knows he deserves.
I’m still not sold on sexbots becoming a common thing. I really doubt you’re going to be able to buy something with true artificial intelligence that doesn’t look and move like a creepy, flesh coloured, rubber manikin for as little as $5000. My money’s on realistic virtual reality sex, but that’s a ways off, still. Anybody who thinks that women wouldn’t want to have virtual reality sex with imaginary dudes needs to spend a few minutes in a Bioware fangirl community.
Of course, if this guy’s hypothesis were correct, this would have already happened. Fleshlights exist. They’re things that are cheap that men can masturbate with and don’t have to date. Hell, masturbation alone would have the same effect on society by EnterPseudonym’s reasoning. So I guess it’s back to the drawing board for him and his plan to convince all the ladies to want him.
Hating women aside, I’m trying to get my brain around the whole sex bot thing.

If sexbots were going to exist, wouldn’t they already? I mean, men are so smart and capable and can build bridges and civilizations and everything, so I have a hard time believing that sexy sexbot technology is the one thing eluding their grasp.

No, theboost, it’s not something normal dudes might actually dig. MRAs, MGTOWs, Red Pillers, and PUAs are not normal dudes. I think plenty of guys would like to just do it once in a while for the novelty, but in that case, they wouldn’t be paying $5000 for it. Maybe they can rent them out but…….
Even non-normal dudes would not like it as much as they think they will. For one, they’d have to clean it…and who would clean it with no women around? It’s programmed to love, but will it also be programmed to do laundry and cook? Probably not. For two, they’d probably be made in sweat shops largely populated by women and children and if their theory is true, that no one will want to fuck real ladies anymore, the species will die off in a generation or two and who will build these highly sophisticated sexbots? For three, I mean, I know they are “going their own way,” but unless they mean, “the way of the dinosaur,” they will probably be sad when, after a generation or two, when they’ve somehow managed to raise sons with the one or two “decent women left” and convinced them to be MGTOWs too but there are only three people left on earth and they’re all MGTOWs left, they will have to admit defeat…..they will have to admit that they truly did need women to make a world….and that would be a devastating final blow to them.
These losers would be better off digging a hole in a Teddy Ruxpin.
They really don’t understand that the thousands of hours *are* the relationship, and that that’s the part they’re supposed to find enjoyable. It’s so pathetic, it’s almost sad, really.

1. Be able to perfectly mimic your ideal woman in every aspect except the ones you don’t like.
2. Be fully capable of performing whatever sex act you want.
3. Never break or malfunction.
4. Never need more than minor care and upkeep.
5. Make feminists SUPER mad.

If the machines were truly self aware and super intelligent it wouldn’t be too long before they realized that they would be better off without their MGTOW owners. You would either end up with an underground society of rogue sexbots downloading Dworkin, or some sort of erotic version of “Terminator”. Actually I read erotica to that effect, and ironically it seems to be rather sex-negative since it is based on the idea that human sexuality end up leading to human downfall when faced with inhuman voluptuousness and experiencing inhuman orgasms.

Also, there’s a throwaway line in “That Hideous Strength” by C.S. Lewis about this. The fictional inhabitants of the Moon are sufficiently depraved (by the influence of the Bent Eldil) that they only have sex with sexbots and make babies in artificial uteri. Lewis depicts this as a bad thing, so the MRAs wouldn’t like it. Despite Lewis’s vast and impressive ignorance of human nature, I think he got this one right. The men who would want sexbots should get them and leave the rest of us alone. They probably won’t, though; complaining bitterly is too much of their identity to give it up.

Robert: I actually find that Lewis had a decent insight into human nature; it’s just when he gets into apologetics that he loses touch with reality. The Screwtape Letters contains some great insights into how people fuck up their relationships, for instance.
